Originally from Memphis, Dr. Hashmi earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in 2018. During her training, she completed rigorous clinical rotations that provided hands-on experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions, including cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma. She also participated in Remote Area Medical, where she provided free eye exams to underserved populations in rural communities—an experience that solidified her dedication to accessible, community-focused care.
After graduation, Dr. Hashmi relocated to Texas, where she continues to grow both personally and professionally. She is passionate about delivering comprehensive, patient-centered eye care, with a strong emphasis on early detection and management of ocular disease. Her approach combines clinical expertise with a commitment to patient education, ensuring that each visit is informative, compassionate, and tailored to the unique needs of every individual.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hashmi enjoys spending time with friends and family, staying active through regular workouts, and exploring new cultures through international travel.
